In honor of Design September and the Festival of Architecture throughout Brussels, we wanted to learn more about the design and architecture of our home. Since our architecture clients love architecture almost as much as we love coffee, we decided to ask them a few questions about their businesses and the architecture in Brussels. Take a look at what Real Estate office 5th Corner thinks.
5th Corner is a real estate office in Brussels mostly working in the city center. Their mission is “to guide you in your search for a property in the best possible way” while forming a trusting and deep relationship with you, their customers. While the business is not an architect firm, the young and dynamic team of 5th Corner deeply values the historic and modern architecture of Brussels.
Most Interesting Building: Palais de Justice (Palace of Justice)
“That is easy. The most interesting building is the Palais de Justice (Palace of Justice), because it is huge. It is bigger than St. Petersburg in Rome. They say there were more than a hundred streets that disappeared to build it. “

Most Beautiful Building: 85 Rue Dansaert
“There is a beautiful art deco building, number 85 on Rue Damsaert. It was built in 1924 and finished in 1929 between the two world wars when Brussels was a grand and strong city in the world. It is a luxurious and beautiful building.”
Most Ugly Building: Office Blocks
“It is quite difficult to say which building is the ugliest as they are spread out throughout the city. Brussels frequently puts big, ugly office blocks next to charming streets. Those office blocks in general are the ugliest.”
